Asparagus 'Mary Washington' grows to 150cm. Dies down in winter; each year the plants grow a little more; by the fourth year they are ready to eat. LEAVE TO GROW IN THE SAME PLACE. Remove female plants (the ones that bear berries). Plants may last more than 20 years. Do not pick spears till the fourth year.
