Loofah, also called 'Luffa' or 'Sponge Gourd' is a fast-growing vine that needs support. Fruit can be eaten young, 10-15cm, like zucchini, or left to dry on vine. Young shoots, leaves and flower buds are edible. Mature fruits produce “loofah” which can be used as a sponge.
